Online & Distance Connections

The NDSGC hosts virtual celebrations and activities for students of all ages.
In 2021, we hosted the ND Space Grant Virtual 5K, which invited North Dakota residents of all abilities and all ages to get moving and win STEM prizes! Past programs also include Zoom virtual escape rooms for students at North Dakota Vision Services/School for the Blind (NDVS/SB),
which led students through a series of Mars-themed trivia games, with the help of
sound effects, tactile books, and engaging, descriptive storytelling.

Multimedia Resources

The NDSGC compiles multimedia resources for students to access in and out of the classroom. Our YouTube Channel includes a variety of presentations and hands-on demonstrations on STEM-related topics, designed specifically with K-12 audiences in mind. Additionally, our UND Art Collections page serves as a downloadable repository of printed posters, photos, and art available to the public.

Schedule a Virtual Visit

Educators and community organizations in North Dakota can request a live-via-video chat to encourage communication and cultivate curiosity in STEM.

North Dakota students of all ages are also encouraged to join our STEM Pal program to ask any questions they may have about Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or college life as a STEM student.

Both programs are facilitated by STEM Ambassadors, undergraduate and graduate STEM students who conduct hands-on activities with North Dakota students, families, and communities.
